Willow's POV
"Partner!" I heard a loud growl that startled me awake. My gaze met that of the triplets, who were staring at me like never before. Asher slowly approached me, closely followed by Aiden and Axel
“Mine!” they growled again. I thought I’d misheard them the first time, but my ears weren’t deceiving me. I’d heard them right. They all knew perfectly well that today was her birthday. A big celebration was underway, one I’d helped with. They’d gotten their wolves, and I was their mate. My heart was pounding. I curled up in my little bed as I watched them approach.
Asher's hands gently caressing my thigh made my thoughts jumble. I couldn't bear to look them in the eyes. It should be a crime for people to be so perfect. Aiden lifted my chin with his hands. As soon as my gaze met his ocean-blue eyes, I melted.
"No... we shouldn't do this," I stammered. They'd never liked me. If Alpha and Luna found out that someone like me had slept with their children, I'd be in serious trouble.
“Who says we can’t? You’re our partner, and we can do whatever we want,” Axel replied huskily. All my rationality vanished. The truth was, I’d been madly in love with them for a long time, and now I was their partner? It was like a dream come true. Asher started to take off my nightgown. I knew what they wanted from the expressions on their faces, and I wanted them too. I always had. When his lips touched mine, I felt on top of the world.

The next morning, I woke up with a smile on my face. I looked around, but the Thane brothers were gone. My smile faded. I felt a little disappointed, but I understood they had to get ready for their birthday party. My body ached from the previous night's activities, but I was happy. Inside, I was filled with more joy than I could have imagined, because my first time had been with the triplets, just as I had always dreamed
"Lazybones! It's time to get to work!" The loud voice snapped me out of my reverie. It was the housekeeper. If I wasted any more time, I'd be severely punished. I jumped up and dressed quickly, folded the blood-stained sheets from the night before, and tossed them with my things in the cramped basement, making a mental note to wash them as soon as I finished my chores. I ran out of the room, running my hands through my hair.
"Your Royal Highness, I see you have decided to honor us with your presence," said the head maid with disdain.
I stopped dead in my tracks and looked down at my feet. "I'm sorry..."
"Keep your lame apologies to yourself. I have to organize a party and I want to start off on the right foot. I'm not going to let you ruin my mood," she declared. I nodded.
"Well then, why are you standing there trembling like a leaf? Get your disgusting presence out of my sight before I change my mind!" she yelled at me. I bolted from her grasp and headed for the kitchen. I was still a little sore from yesterday. It had been quite a wild night, and I was tired, but I wasn't going to tell anyone. I kept looking around for the triplets, but I didn't see them anywhere.
"Look, the chubby one is here," a maid like me said to the others. They all dried their hands with towels and stopped what they were doing before I arrived.
"Get to work," he muttered with a mocking smile. I glanced at the pile of dishes and my jaw dropped.
"I can't finish all of that," I murmured.
“Do you think we care? Use your weight and strength,” she retorted. She nudged me in the arm before walking away. The others followed, leaving me alone. You’d think that after years of being called fat, a pig, and obese, I’d start to get used to it. I never did. It still hurt every time. I headed toward the dishes before the head maid could find me again.
Everyone in the pack looked down on me. They treated me worse than an omega, even the omegas themselves. Not a day went by without them reminding me that I was still alive thanks to the alpha's generosity. My father was the alpha's beta, until he was accused of betraying him and plotting a coup to take his place. My father and mother were branded traitors. They were both killed as punishment for their crimes, while my life was spared. They told me to be grateful that I hadn't been killed like them.
However, my life was worse than hell. Everyone bullied me. I'd always been bullied at school since I was a child because of my weight. The situation only worsened after my parents died. I was bullied at school and at the pack house. The only place I could be safe and have time for myself was my small room in the basement. I even thought about running away after high school because I couldn't take it anymore. But all that was about to change. The triplets were now my mates. I never thought I'd find my mate, but now I had, and it was the best feeling in the world.
As soon as I finished washing the dishes, I started cleaning the pack house. Everyone was busy preparing it for the triplets' eighteenth birthday. The house was buzzing with activity, but I hadn't seen them anywhere yet. I didn't dare go into their room. I knew we had a connection now, but it still wasn't possible. There was a huge difference in our status. They were the Alpha's children, while I was the daughter of a traitor worse than an Omega. The moon goddess had brought us together. I was sure they would accept me as their mate in front of everyone, just as custom demanded.
When I finished cleaning, it was getting dark and the guests were starting to arrive. I rushed to my room and took a shower. I put on my favorite dress, styled my hair, and even did my makeup. I smiled brightly at my reflection in the mirror. If they were going to accept me as their partner in front of everyone, I had to look my best.
I went out into the garden and saw the most beautiful decorations I had ever seen. I looked around in amazement until I bumped into someone. The glass they were holding fell from their hands.
"I'm sorry. It was a mistake," I apologized hastily. I recognized her because she was one of the students who bullied me at school.
"Your existence is a mistake! How dare you touch me!" she shouted, drawing everyone's attention. I knew where this was going and I didn't have time for it. All I wanted was to rejoin the triplets, and as if by divine intervention, my gaze met theirs, just a short distance away. I smiled and walked toward them. I was well aware that everyone was watching me.
"What do you think you're doing?" Asher stopped me, his tone cold. The smile vanished from my face. Something was wrong. This wasn't how they looked at me in the middle of the night.
"Looks like the pig's in love," someone said in a sing-song voice. Everyone laughed at me.
"Look at his clothes. He looks like a clown," another added. I glanced at the triplets, and they had smiles on their faces. I couldn't say a word. Everyone's attention was on me, and I was there for their amusement.
"Aren't you ashamed? You traitorous daughter!"
"How dare he lay eyes on our future alphas? You disgusting piece of shit!"
His words hurt, but I was more interested in what was happening with the triplets. I took a deep breath and decided to say something. Just as I opened my mouth to speak, Axel spoke first.
"Do you think you're worthy of being with us? Do you think you're worthy of being our partner? That's impossible. We will never accept a partner like you. I, Axel Thane..."
"I, Aiden Thane..."
"And I, Asher Thane, we all reject you as our mate. Your place is in the sewer, where you belong. Not with us," they declared coldly. Their words hit me like a ton of rocks. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Someone shoved me to the ground and I fell with a thud, bruising my knee. I winced in pain
"Colleagues? Do you really think she's your colleague? What a joke!" Someone laughed and threw their drink at me.
"B-but I thought..." I stammered, tears welling in my eyes. I thought we had something special.
"But... but..." someone mimicked me and they laughed again.
"Hey, Nina, you wanted pork earlier. Why wait for pork when we have her?" Axel asked, pointing at me, and everyone laughed. Their laughter echoed in my ears as they poured more drinks over me. My heart shattered. Do dreams come true? This is more like a nightmare.
Hoy iba a escapar.
No había escapatoria.
