Abduction

We changed cars halfway there, stopping at an abandoned warehouse where two other cars and several men were waiting for us as if they knew exactly when we would arrive.

The three men got out of the car, leaving me alone, and I waited silently, making sure they weren't looking at me before pushing the door just a little.

To my relief, it was unlocked. I opened it wider and seized the opportunity to escape.

I didn't care if it was stupid or if he'd shoot me in the back. I just forced my feet to run.

But he was faster. He grabbed me by the nape of my neck, pulling me back hard, my legs bouncing against the ground.

"No!" I shouted, tears blurring my vision.

He dragged me back towards the others, my heels hitting the cement with each clumsy step.

My dress caught on the corners of the stone and tore, but he didn't slow down.

"Let me go!" I yelled, writhing and pounding his back with my fists. "Do you hear me? Put me down, you arrogant bastard!"

My knuckles slammed together again and again,
