"Not exactly. As long as we leave the house before ten, we should be on time," Greyson shrugged, eating his cereal. "Janson is expecting us around two. It's about a four-hour drive."
"—How long will we stay?"
"—Just a few days," Greyson said. "We'll be back home before you know it."
When Indiana and Greyson got out of Greyson's car in the school parking lot, the principal was waiting for them.
"—Indianna Hughs," he said as he walked toward her. "I need to speak with you in my office."
Indiana frowned.
"Why?" she asked.
"Come with me, Indiana," he said.
Greyson grabbed Indiana's hand.
"What is this all about?" he demanded.
The director was merely human, but he could sense the authority emanating from Greyson. He swallowed before answering.
"We've been informed that drugs are being sold at this school," the principal said.
"—And you think I have anything to do with that? —Indiana exclaimed breathlessly."
"That's what we want to find out," the director agreed.
"Why is Indiana a suspect?" Greyson asked.
"We've been told that she's responsible for supplying the drugs."
"That's not true!" said Indiana. "I've never even tried drugs in my life!"
She was sitting across from the director in his office, and Greyson had convinced him to let her stay.
The director placed a small, clear plastic bag on the desk in front of him. Indiana frowned as she recognized its contents.
"Have you seen this before, Indiana?" the director asked.
"—Y-Yes, but they're not drugs! —Indiana choked back a scream."
"—So you're confirming that this belongs to you?"
"-Yeah..."
"—Indianna Hughs, I'm afraid I'm going to have to inform the police."
"Wait a moment," Greyson said firmly. "Let her speak!"
The director swallowed and looked at Indiana.
"What do you have to say in your defense?"
"They're not drugs," Indiana said quietly. "They're herbs. You mix them with water, and they're supposed to help you sleep."
"Can you explain why I found several students smoking this substance in the parking lot? They were extremely high, and guess who they said sold them the drugs?"
"It wasn't me!" Indiana exclaimed. "I swear."
"I'm afraid this is a matter for the police."
"It has to be someone from the house," Greyson said. "Someone who can get into her room. Director, a lot of people live in our house. Anyone could have slipped into Indiana's room and stolen the herbs."
"I would like to think that a student with such good behavior wouldn't do something like this," said the principal.
"Who told you that Indiana sold them the herbs?" Greyson asked.
"—I can't tell them..."
"Yes, he can," Greyson said sternly. "And he definitely will."
The director sighed.
"—The person who gave me the drugs is fairly new. I don't remember their name, but they had pink hair..."
Indiana and Greyson looked at each other.
Greyson clenched his fists.
"I'm going to kill her," he growled.
"—Director, they're setting me up," Indiana explained.
"This is a serious accusation," the director frowned. "Who are you accusing?"
"—To the girl who said it was me —Indiana said and looked at Greyson."
"—Kimberly —he growled."
