EVERLEIGH
The drive down to the stables was quick and quiet. I could see his shoulders becoming more and more tense the closer we came to our destination.
We were greeted at the gigantic sliding barn door by a man dressed in jeans, boots, a blue plaid shirt and a baseball cap that had seen better days. I could see his ink black hair, streaked with gray, as he pushed his hat back away from his face. No doubt this man was good looking back in his heyday.
