Jane whispered to Serenity, “Zachary’s a natural at coaxing children. It hasn’t been a few days since he became a father, yet he’s better at it than Ben.”

Serenity’s gaze softened as she looked toward her husband and son. She said, “Zachary made time to learn how to look after babies and read books before I even gave birth.

“I didn’t read much during my pregnancy. On the other hand, he read a lot and told me he would take care of the baby and that I didn’t have to worry about anything.”

Serenity said affectionately, “I’m so lucky to be his wife, Jane.”

Zachary was too good.
