Five Years Later, Stella's POV
Five years. It felt impossible to say that out loud and truly believe that so much time had passed. Sometimes, when I was alone, I still caught myself staring out the window, wondering if it had all been a dream. If I had really lived in California. If I had really worked at Winter Enterprises. If I had really fallen in love with the wrong man. If I had really run away with two hearts beating inside me, desperate to save whatever sanity I had left.
