At the hospital, Elizabeth was anxious while the doctors tended to James. She prayed for him and also for the kidnappers. When the door finally opened, the doctor approached Elizabeth with a reassuring look.
“So, doctor?” she asked anxiously.
“He’s fine. Fortunately, the injuries were minor. The bullet just grazed him.”
“Thank God,” she said gratefully; she had been praying for him the whole time.
“He’ll be taken to his room shortly and will be able to receive visitors.”
“Thank you, doctor.”
