MATHILDA'S POV
The sight of a tall, gleaming white fence dazzled my eyes as the car stopped in front of a mansion on the corner of the street. I was stunned; it was far larger and more luxurious than Fredric’s family home.
“Is this the mansion, Nana?” I asked Mrs. Rosa.
“Yes. I’ve kept this place hidden from Fredric for a long time. I mean, he knows it exists, but he has no idea how magnificent it really is. This mansion represents love and strength—perfect for both of you. It’s a place that holds deep meaning for me,” she explained.
Her answer made me feel guilty at the thought of Fredric still choosing not to live here.
“I can already see how beautiful it is just from the gate—it’s incredible. I’m so curious to see what’s inside,” I said.
Mrs. Rosa gave a wide smile and nodded eagerly. “I’m certain you’ll love it.”
The car moved forward once the gate opened automatically. And true to her words, the yard was filled with stunning ornamental plants. I couldn’t even describe it properly
