As luck would have it, Zoe sensed his stare and looked at him. She wasn’t exactly perturbed, but she did stand a little straighter when she saw him.

The man in front of her looked at Mason too.

Mason’s eyes grew darker. He ordered Ava, “Take me to her!”

Ava wheeled him and stopped when they were one step away from Zoe. Naturally, she greeted her with enthusiasm. “It’s been a long time, Zoe!”

Zoe rested her gaze on Mason and smiled faintly, “Indeed!”

The man asked her, “Who’s this fine man
