That night, Yvonne finally managed to take Jade back to the hotel with much difficulty. She quietly coaxed Jade until she stopped crying.
By the time Yvonne got into bed, it was already midnight.
She looked at the ceiling, unable to sleep at all. She thought about how she had scolded Jade at the nightclub's entrance. The more she thought about it, the guiltier she felt.
How could she have said such a thing to Jade?
Jade had always been sheltered. It was only normal for her to be naïve. How could Yvonne call her stupid?
One would easily spew nonsense when one was angry!
Yvonne was so upset that she slapped her face. She decided she was going to find the opportunity to apologize to Jade.
She barely fell asleep because of how guilty she felt. She woke up early the next morning and got the hotel to send a scrumptious breakfast up to her room.
Jade rubbed her puffy eyes and came out of her bedroom when she saw Yvonne smiling brightly at her.
"Good morning. Come, have breakfast."
