Multiple injuries on Jade's body had already been infected, and were covered with thick layers of ointment.

"Mom!" Selene cried out in tears. "Did my dad do all these? How can he be so cruel? How can he do this to his own wife?"

Jade shook her head and said, "I didn't exactly go easy on him either."

"What?! Where's dad?"

"In the guest bedroom."

Selene dashed her way to the guest bedroom and found her father in bed with bandages wrapped around his head.
