Naya seemed sincere, and the way she spoke made it sound as if she was siding with Ava and Daniel. It was as though she was taking their wishes into consideration.

When she saw Ava not speaking, Naya continued.

“Ava, this is the best way for now. I don’t think you want Danny to be stuck in a dilemma between you and his family, right?”

After staying silent for a while, Ava lifted the corners of her mouth into a soft smile and praised Naya.

“Miss Mendez, I didn’t think that you'd be so conside
