“ Don—Don’t reject me. ”

It hurts me to even hear her saying this. I am surprised how I didn’t consider rejecting her at all.

Yes. Britney is back and all but I still can’t bring myself to think about leaving her or letting her go.

“ I am not going to reject you. ” I tell her, hoping it’s enough to say this once.

“ No. You—You are going to reject me now that she is back. ” She rubs her nose against my shirt, crying loud as fuck.

“ No. I am not doing that. ” I pat her back softly.

She pulls back all of a sudden and looks at me with her burning amber eyes. Here is it — Misery turning into anger.

“ You must be so happy. All you wanted was her and she is alive! ” She jerks out of my hold, taking a step back. “ And now you are going to throw me away because I am of no use to you. ”

“ I have no intentions of throwing you away. ” I growl, frustrated with this turn of events because I don’t know how to react, what to do.

One thing I am sure of…is the fact that I will never reject her
