I stroll to her and take her hand in mine before taking her towards the desk and sitting her down over it. She lets me do that—I am grateful for that.

I don’t have the will to fight right now. I feel like a fucking puppet who was made to run around in circles to take revenge for something which never happened.

Another thought... what was a purpose of taking Brit hostage against Ryker if he did not know about the hostage situation?
