NATALIE

“ It’s you. It’s really you. I can’t believe this. ” Rhianna squeezes the girl’s arms, assuring herself of her presence.

I look away from Ryker and watch the skinny girl. Indeed, she is beautiful…and alive.

Alive. Am I dreaming? Even the word ‘alive’ sounds strange.

She was dead. She is…

I breathe in, wondering if I am still asleep and if this is all a fucked up nightmare.

“ I…You…what happened to you? ” Rhianna’s sobs snap me out of the daze.

“ Take her to the room. ” Ryker tells Zio.

My gaze switches between them all one by one. I do believe I am about to wake up from the nightmare. It’s enough, isn’t it?

Zio pulls Britney away from Rhianna and grips her shoulders to help her walk forward. Instead of walking with him, she leaps for Ryker, grabbing his bicep, and pushing her body into his.

Pain coils around my heart once more. It’s not supposed to hurt in dreams. When Ryker coils his arm around her waist cautiously, something breaks inside.

My mind hits the low and I am force

He still loves Britney and, Natalie doesn’t even share his bed. He walked Brit right back into their room. If it were me I’d also feel like my was forever broken.

Amber Ivershe may be smart but emotions can cloud senses sometimes. hes been after revenge for a while now. I agree with jannie. all he did since finding Britney was tactless and definitely not promising for natalie.

Deb EffI dunno. Ryker is a bit too smart for this. He's already noticed the difference between being mated to Britney and Natalie. I don't think he'll reject Natalie. Besides, as others have guessed: Britney is involved somehow. That's why he never found her body
