The cold enveloped the rink, but the team’s practice continued relentlessly. Noemi smiled as she watched him talk to the boys before sending them off for another lap. He had been an excellent competitor, but he was an even better coach.

Noemi approached the rink's railing with a steaming thermos in her hands, and Levi’s face lit up with joy when he saw her.

"Hey, sweetheart! I thought you weren’t working today," he said, wrapping her in a hug and giving her a kiss. "That’s why I snuck out to let you sleep."

"I’m not working, that’s why I came to bring you some hot chocolate to warm you up... whatever you let me warm up," she said with a playful smile.

Levi gratefully accepted the hot chocolate and took a sip. The warm taste spread through his body, giving him a comforting sensation.

"Thanks, love. We only have a couple more laps of practice, and then we’ll spend the day together. Sound good?" Levi said, giving her a mischievous wink.
