Aurora's POV

At least two more weeks had passed, two more weeks since the day I woke up... We could say that everything was going relatively well, my physical recovery was progressing every day, my injuries no longer posed any risk, so the doctor decided it was time to go home.

Rafael returned to work a week after I woke up at my request. He insisted tirelessly that he wanted to stay with me, but I assured him I wanted him back. He'd neglected the company too much, and I really didn't want that to continue because of me. Of course, I was working far fewer hours, but it's better than nothing.

I was left in the care of my parents who had not yet returned to Portland. To tell the truth, I noticed they were quite restless, as if they were afraid that something would happen to me again. I tried to make them less worried, but I knew that deep down, that anguish lingered. Sebastian , Darcy , and David also came to visit me very constantly during those couple of weeks.
