Felix gave Penny a pointed look. Already on edge, she immediately blew up.
"What are you staring at? Uncle Randy's only been taking it for a few days! He could still have a flare-up later. You think you've actually fixed anything?" she shouted.
She yanked desperately at Brian's arm. "Dad! Can we please go? Why waste another minute with this con man? You've already tried his treatment, and it failed."
Brian frowned as he studied Penny. "Why are you so hell-bent on getting me out of here? What's going on with you?"
"Nothing! I just don't see why we're wasting time with this fraud."
Felix spoke up right then. "Mr. Wiley, I can say with absolute certainty that you either skipped one of the medications I prescribed, or you didn't take it when I told you to."
Brian instantly rejected the idea. "No way! Gout has made my life a living nightmare—why would I ignore your instructions? I swear I followed everything to the letter."
While staring at Brian, Felix asked, "Then think back
