Felix looked even more confused. "Mr. Goff, does that mean Dr. Adkin's visit actually has something to do with me?"
To his surprise, Pedro nodded firmly. "Exactly. Devin's only coming to Utren for one reason—to meet the doctor who successfully cured gout."
News certainly traveled fast, but Felix didn't seem particularly worried. "Doctors exchanging professional knowledge sounds normal enough. Why do you look so troubled about it?"
Pedro gave a bitter smile. "That's true, but Devin is a really petty man. You cured what he couldn't. Most doctors would accept that different doctors are skilled in different ways or simply admit someone has better skills than they do. But not Devin—he'll definitely make trouble for you."
