Chapter 9 —She has character and she's cute
Narrator:
Dominic entered the office without knocking, as usual, and slumped into the chair opposite Roman, who was reviewing some reports, although his mind was clearly elsewhere.
“I heard a rumor...” Dominic began, smiling slyly. “Tell me it's true, I beg you!”
Roman looked up calmly.
“It depends on what rumor you're talking about.”
“That Aylin poured a bottle of cola on Sasha.”
Roman put the papers aside and let out a dry, brief laugh, but one full of satisfaction.
“It's true. Sasha stormed into the office, almost knocking the door down, to accuse her as if she had committed the worst of crimes.”
Dominic laughed more openly, shaking his head.
“And you didn't fire her?” He smiled. “I thought they wouldn't last a week before you sent her back to wherever you found her.”
Roman turned the whiskey glass between his fingers, looking thoughtful, though amusement still danced in his eyes.
