Aylin stood by the window, wrapped in a light cotton robe that barely grazed her thighs. Her damp hair still fell in strands down her back. Roman watched her from the bed, reclining with his torso bare and his pants low on his hips. He had one elbow resting against the pillow and his eyes fixed on her as if he needed to carve her into his memory.
“Come,” he said, barely a hoarse whisper that broke the air.
She turned slowly, looked at him... and said nothing. She walked toward him slowly, silently, as if the floor were crumbling beneath her feet. When she reached the bed, Roman reached out and untied the loose knot of her robe, letting it slide down until it fell to the floor without resistance.
