Eros walked back into the restaurant as if nothing had happened.

"Apologies, gentlemen. The inconvenience took a little longer than expected."

The four men laughed and raised their glasses.

"Don't worry," one of them said. "Your wife is great company… too bad she doesn't talk much."

Eros looked at Lucy, then at his associates.

"My wife isn't used to this kind of dinner. It was a mistake to bring her," he said. Then he turned his head slightly toward Lucy.
