Thor lowered his head.

“I know. I was a bastard. I made a huge mistake.”

“Yes, you did. And now, on top of everything else, there’s Isabela. The woman’s obsessed with you. She tried to kill herself. She’s pregnant.”

Thor pressed his temples, as if the pounding in his head had just intensified.

“I’m certain she planned this. She got pregnant on purpose to trap me. I didn’t want this child, Arthur. But now he exists. And I’ll have to deal with the consequences.”
