Chapter 1127 Exonerate Her
Brendan's flawlessly handsome face was filled with confusion. "I don't remember. How can I actually not have any recollection of such an important matter?"

Deirdre was astonished. "You don't have any recollection of it? Why would you invite Emily to come today, then?"

"For a land auction. Collins Pharmaceuticals wants to work with me to have a share of that land, so Emily met me to discuss it."

Deirdre pursed her lips. "So, you invited Emily to come today just to discuss the collaboration?"

FiveamPlus I don’t understand the “I can’t look into this baseless accusation” line of thinking. He’s the richest man in Neve, he can’t afford to look into something even without evidence? Doesn’t he do that all the time for business? He looks into things based on hunches at first.
FiveamAlso, when B first met Emily he was wary of her because she liked him but day 2 he suddenly thinks she has nothing but well intentions? LOLLL. We want character, relationship and plot growth, NOT regression. I’m gonna wait for another 20 chapters to skip ahead again. I’m already aggravated!
FiveamThere’s so many holes in this story. D’s supposed riches to pay for her “scheming”, B’s supposed intelligence that made him the most powerful man in Neve…he can spot a complicated plot against him by his board members but he can’t spot schemes by women around him?
FiveamI really question whether the author has ever been in a relationship or at least a healthy one. Most relationships don’t go backwards. I thought there was progress in this relationship; I thought B had grown and understood that trust was important. But somehow they’re back in chapter 10ish.
FiveamThis story had potential. It certainly needs a good editor to clean it up. I don’t understand authors’ need to drag a good plot line on and on. How many of this same plot have been recycled in this one story???
FiveamI don’t even bother to read this story in its entirety anymore. I wait for a massive update then skip to a chapter title that I like and I still don’t feel like I’m missing out. Even doing this I feel like the story is dragging.
Jennifer Lynn TeagueThis way Brendan should be more positively receptive to Dee's and Sterling's friendship and hopefully Emily will get found out and Dee and Brendan can get married again soon. Sorry about the multiple posts. No room for all in one post.
Jennifer Lynn TeagueI know they are drugging him but that wouldn't be a scientifically valid reason. I hope Sterling finds the evidence of them drugging Brendan and tells him in the next few chapters and Brendan starts truly investigating Emily!
Jennifer Lynn TeagueSo anyone who knows Dee would know there is NO way she would offer $100,000 to that Mark in exchange for his "lie". Mark claiming that should have been a HUGE red flag for Brendan! Secondly, how are they erasing his memory?
Jennifer Lynn TeagueThis is starting to get unbelievable. First off, Dee has absolutely no money whatsoever to her name. The only way that Der can get any money at all is by asking Brendan for it.
Jennifer Felita DoI'm so sick of this storyline! Whenever this stupid part of the story is over, they will start the Charlene stuff again. By the way, how come Charlene can easily be healed, but Dee can't?
Jennifer Hipfnerok now its really starting to drag. it felt like this story was going so well now its just looping back and forth
