After Serenity was finished freshening up, Jackson carried her back to the hospital bed.

A meal was already prepared and laid out on a small table beside the bed. It consisted of soup and some side dishes which were simple but enticing.

Serenity's stomach immediately growled loudly, demanding to be filled.

"The doctor said it would be best for you to eat something that's easily digestible," Jackson said as he arranged the food on the tray before her.
