Serenity almost thought her daughter had woken up for a moment there, but when she looked closer, the little one was still fast asleep. She was probably dreaming.

Even in her dreams, she was calling for Mom. It must have been because Serenity had gone out without her, and the little girl had been missing her mother.

Serenity stroked her daughter’s head tenderly, then bent down to kiss her soft cheek again.
