“I already apologized very sincerely. I even explained to everyone present that it was a misunderstanding and my fault. I even iced his face for him. I did everything I was supposed to.
“You don’t know how shameless he is! Just now, he called and demanded I treat him to dinner. He said if I don’t, he’s going to tell on me to Grandpa and accuse me of taking advantage of him, and ask me to take responsibility.
“He said my palm ‘kissed’ his face, so that’s equivalent to taking advantage of him!”
“Only River could twist getting slapped into something so outlandish. I have to admit, even I’m impressed by how easily shit like this comes out of his mouth.”
Damian internally rolled his eyes. The man was obviously just making excuses to have a meal with her.
Hearing his sister’s words only confirmed his suspicions that River had feelings for her.
