Epilogue

One afternoon, when André was in training and the boys were at school, Dani sat next to Mrs. Luiza on the couch. They shared everything, concerns, problems, joys and victories. One counted on the other and they occupied that dwelling within the heart of each other, as rarely happens in this world.

‘Are you worried, dear?’

‘Grandma, I'm afraid of dying before André. If I have an illness, or an accident, I don't know how he could react.’

‘Daniela, you shouldn't be thinking these things. The measure, that we endure with concerns, is one day. God did things this way.’

‘I can't help thinking about it, grandma. My fear is that in the face of another loss, another pain, it will be too much for him to overcome. He could give in to the pain. Because his life, since childhood, had many burdens.’

‘Then create a lot of happiness, to counterbalance with the sadness.’
