Time was passing, and it seemed the investigation into the fraud surrounding my near-divorce had stalled; no one could find anything. Sabrina wouldn't stop bothering me and was becoming increasingly insistent and inconvenient. My father pressured me to go to Campanário almost every weekend, using the pretext that I myself had promised to support my brother in his business. Manu wasn't stupid; although she was very calm and didn't pressure me, I knew she was watching, and sometimes she asked what was going on, but I changed the subject. In the midst of this chaos, there was also Heitor and Samantha's wedding, which was full of excitement.
When the weekend arrived and Patrício invited me for a normal Sunday barbecue and pool at his house, I just wanted it to be a quiet weekend with my little one and my friends. But that was asking too much.
