I was very upset with Flávio for the way he spoke to Sam, but in the end, I understood him being concerned for my safety. I couldn't stay mad at him for long either. I missed him; I'd slept one night away from him, and I already missed him.
I opened the apartment door, determined to resolve this situation; I wouldn't fight with him. He'd even apologized to Sam. When I looked around, the apartment was completely dark. I thought it was strange, since Flávio was supposed to be home by now. I looked around and saw nothing. I went to the kitchen, and it was all dark. I went to the bedroom, and Flávio wasn't there.
"How strange! I wonder if he's home yet?" I asked myself.
I left my bag in the closet and took off my shoes, leaving them there. I went to the bathroom, took a shower, and put on one of his shirts. I missed him so much I wanted to smell him, so I put it on. It was past his time to get home. I was going to call him. I grabbed my cell phone and dialed the number.
