Gwynn read everything he wrote in silence.
She knew he poured some thought into the gift as well as the card he wrote. However, she couldn’t be bothered with them. In the end, she chucked the painting in the storeroom.
Then, she tossed the card into the trash can.
Someone knocked on the door.
At the next moment, her assistant opened the door and came in. She said softly, “One of our customers bought five of our most expensive paintings. She signed and gave us a forty-million-dollar cheque. She also said she wanted to talk to you.”
Standing up, Gwynn said, “Okay! I’ll be there soon.”
She followed her assistant to the VIP showroom.
Marisol’s back was turned to them. She wore a sophisticated dress and had her black hair tied back. The sight was enough to exude her extraordinary elegance.
