"Oh... look at my daughter," Mrs. Roberts laughed.
Amanda giggled and looked at herself in the mirror again.
"You look stunningly beautiful, darling. If they don't accept you because of your experience and qualifications, your beauty and delicate nature will win them over," Mrs. Roberts complimented her.
"Oh, there you go again, Mom, making it about my physical appearance. It bothers me when everything comes down to how I look. I'll change into something less flashy. I don't want to be seen as attractive." Amanda frowned.
"Stop it, Amanda!" Mrs. Roberts warned sternly. "You seem to forget that just because you've had babies doesn't mean you're any less beautiful. The reality is, men will still want you. They'll desire you, and there's nothing you can do about it. The only thing you can do is empower yourself, especially financially, to prevent them from taking advantage of you."
