ANNE

He darts his tongue out, wetting his thick lips. The darkness of his eyes seems to be shifting like shadows, beautiful but deadly.

When I realize how it sounded to him, I try to explain without giving too much away. “ I am not planning on giving potion to Natalie. No, I don’t need to do that anymore because Ryker is there to protect her. ”

And that fucker Alpha is there to tell her how horrible I am for what I did too, given that he didn’t let me reveal everything to her myself.

“ What do you want from her? ” He remains unbothered, not giving anything away.

I observe him for a moment more. His stony jaw clenches, a vein throbbing under it.

“ I want her to tell something to Natalie and Alpha Ryker. ” I whisper, detaching my eyes from his smooth skin.

“ If you know what it is, why don’t you tell them yourself? ” He avoids the secret and jumps to the question which concerns me.

I poke my inner cheek with my tongue, huffing.

“ I would have told Natalie myself and she would ha

kmtyank12she went about it wrong, yes absolutely. but she has her best friends Best interest at heart. I think the bond was fake with Ryker and Britney. I think she is a snake in the grass that has played a role the entire time.
Jenett TeixeiraI’m with Anne on that. Pretty sure Rihanna and Zio are in on it too. The only thing is Zio knows that Ryker and Zero are hybrids. If he’s involved then it’s against them to. I’d bet money that Brit wasn’t his true mate & the baby was whoever’s the king pen on the council.

DeejYes! This right here!! Britney is totally fated to Ryker’s enemy. I also agree that she faked a bond with Ryker somehow. I can see Selene making Natalie and Ryker fated mates from the beginning because they need each other. Why else would a gifted wolf and a hybrid be fated?

kati.abas2012I like that Zero is so patient with Anne. I hope he will manage to earn her trust. They are both smart, loyal and brave. Teaming up will make them a stronger couple than Ryke and Nat who are all about emotions.

DeejWhy didn’t Anne tell Ryker this secret when he confronted her the first time? Anne needs to get over her hatred of those in power and notice how she is being treated by those closest to her that have power. Zio cannot betray Ryker, they are too close. It would be devastating.
NicoleZero killed the rich guy (Brian), who bought the potion for Anne. Not the witch. Brittney is so not Ryker’s mate. They must have used a potion or something. Sad if Zio’s in on it, though, since he is one of Ryker’s only true friends.
Amber IversI'm hoping that she knows she isn't really his mate and that she's played ryker since childhood. I don't understand why Anne thinks secrets, and keeping things to herself, is the best answer. she needs to tell someone. did ryker turn zero by accident?
