At the Walker mansion, Martha was preparing to receive an unexpected guest for that afternoon’s tea. She wanted everything to be impeccable. She was personally adjusting every detail of the china and the flowers when the butler announced the arrival of Pamela White.

“Hello, dear!” said Martha, walking over to Pamela with a warm embrace, as if they were old, close friends.

“Mrs. Sinclair. It’s an honor to be invited by you for tea,” replied Pamela with a gentle smile, returning the hug wi
