"Can't you just hope for the best? You're going to rid yourself of that good-for-nothing man soon, so I'm positive your illness will be cured," Mike comforted her.

"You don't have to drag Elliot into everything. It's going to be even more difficult for me to forget him if you keep talking about him," Avery frowned. "And I'm not being pessimistic. I'm just preparing for the worst. If I do become blind in the future, I'd still like to have a happy life."
