Chapter 29. Miscalculated
Relief hit Amelia with the force of a wave. Her eyes filled with tears as she looked at Sergio, who squeezed her hand in support.
"Thank you," she whispered, her voice cracking with emotion, her words barely an echo of the profound gratitude she felt.
As they walked toward the exit, a small spark of hope began to burn in her chest. This time, maybe she really could get her daughter back.
Sergio guided her toward a black car waiting parked in front of the police station. Amelia thanked him again
