He brushed away a tear before it could fall.
“I love the meanings,” he said quietly. “They tell the story of what I want to build with you—a life. A family. A future.”
“Only one boy’s name?” she asked, trying to laugh through the lump in her throat.
Thor smiled.
“Because I only need one to take my place—to inherit the empire I’m building.” He paused, giving her waist a gentle squeeze. “But I want two little girls so I can be the most hopelessly smitten dad on the planet. I’ll spoil them rotten and be ridiculously overprotective.”
Celina laughed through her tears.
“And what if one of them wants to run the empire?” she teased.
“Then she’ll be as beautiful as her mother… and with my personality.” He grinned, wicked. “And then, Celina, you’re screwed.”
She laughed harder, shaking her head.
“Completely screwed. Two versions of you? God help me.”
