“Don’t make things even worse for yourself, Peter,” he said firmly. “Let the lady go.”
“Get your hands off me, you bastard!” Peter shouted, struggling against him. “Olívia, I’m not finished talking to you! Let me go!”
Olívia didn’t look back. She walked toward the elevator with firm, determined steps.
“Olívia!” he shouted after her, his voice breaking. “I love you! Do you hear me? Come back to me! I’m sorry… I’ve changed!”
