"It didn't hurt for long, and at the time... I happened to have walked out of the room, so I didn't wake you up. I talked to the doctor on the phone this morning. He said it's not a big deal. Besides, I still have some medicine left," he said casually.

Even so, Serenity still looked worried.

"I'm fine. Really. These aren't serious injuries. It's no big deal," he said. After some hesitation, he asked again, "Do you really have no memory of why you left me five years ago?"

Serenity nodded. "That's right." She was telling the truth. There was a blank period in her memory. She couldn't remember the incident where she fell into the sea and she couldn't remember what happened afterwards until the moment she woke up in the hospital as another "Serenity".

She actually really wanted to regain her memory because she wanted to know what happened after she fell into the sea, how she was rescued, and why, of her children, Jackie was the only one with her.
