“Smack!”

The distinct sound of a slap was followed by silence. The force behind the slap almost sent Sandra tumbling to the floor again.

The slap left one side of her cheek swollen with a bright red handprint on its surface.

Immediately after the slap, Sandra seemed to feel no pain. She replied mockingly, “Even if you wanted to, with her condition, you’ll never make it up to Clara. I can’t wait to see what you’ll turn into when she dies!”

Through narrowed eyes, Wilson almost bore a hole through Sandra’s body. “How did you find out about her illness?”

At that, Sandra started cackling away. “Haha, how did I know? I know more about Clara’s condition than you’ll ever know! You’re blind as a bat, Wilson!”

Wilson’s lips were tightly pursed as he gritted his teeth. After a long while, he finally spoke, “You’re not wrong. I guess I am blind!”

He was blind enough to have remained ignorant for such a long time. He was blind enough to not figure out who was the one who actually treat
