When Grandma May entered the property, Callia squirmed to be put down.
Zachary bent over and put Callia down on the ground, and the latter ran toward Grandma May.
“There you are, Lil’ Pie. Come and give me a big hug.”
Grandma May lifted Callia up.
“Great-Nana.”
“Did you sleep well last night, Lil’ Pie?”
Grandma May and Callia were the most precious members of the family. Grandma May carried Callia to the sofa to sit down.
Zachary came over and took a seat across from Grandma May.
“You were out for a walk longer than usual.”
“The air was fresh before dawn, so I stayed out a little while. It’s hot when the sun is out. The weather gets hotter every year.”
It was all from global warming.
The summer temperatures rose year by year.
With Zachary looking perky, Grandma May said, “Take it easy. Serenity’s health is all that matters.”
For once, Zachary went red in the face and uttered, “We were apart for a while, Nana. I’ll be more mindful. I care more about her health
