After a moment of silence, Trenton said, “I won’t be interested in you because you look down on my family. We can never be in a relationship.”
Amanda’s smile vanished. She did not expect him to sense her distaste for his family.
“I have to leave as I’m in a rush, Ms. Evans.”
After speaking, Trenton walked toward the subway entrance with the bouquet in hand.
Amanda watched his leaving silhouette for some time before turning her gaze back. She raised the window and murmured to herself, “It doesn’t have to be him. I don’t like him that much anyway.”
She did look down on his family. His parents were cruel and had blood on their hands. Since Trenton was their son, who knew if he would turn out to be like them?
