The setting sun caressed Hayden’s face with its rays, but even the sunlight could not melt her icy expression. Likewise for the blazing sun at noon, which was likely to fail in softening her tensed facial lines.
“Kevin, I told you I don’t like flowers. Stop giving me flowers!” Hayden said as she shoved the bouquet away so that nothing could come in her path of leaving.
Kevin took her hand, but Hayden broke free from his grasp.
“Hayden, I’m trying to win you over. Flowers are a must to get
