I was in a terrible state, barely in the mood for work. My father was making my life hell, wanting more money and that trip to Europe. I thought he'd leave when he got his allowance, but no, this time it seems he wants to ruin me and my sister. My mother has been back and forth from one trip to the next and assured me she'll only set foot in the city again after "the devil is driven out," and the worst part is she's right; ever since he arrived, my life has been hell.
