“They will burn Moonridge to the ground.”

The words hit the room hard.

For a second, nobody moved.

Then panic erupted everywhere.

"That?"

“Did they bring lunar hunters?”

“We are all going to die!”

The villagers ran towards the destroyed gates while others moved away from me as if I myself carried death on my shoulders.

Perhaps that was the case.

I stood motionless in the middle of the destroyed council chamber as fear spread through the room like fire.
