I lower my gaze instantly and attempt to walk past him when my senses kick in.
“ Can’t even say hi to me? ” He mocks.
My feet come to an abrupt halt. I turn around to face him.
Pangs of hurt hit my heart when I peek in his shimmering brown eyes.
I unwrap my arms from around myself and drop my hands by my side before curling them into fists.
“ What do you…want? ” It’s hard to talk.
I don’t know what I am supposed to say to him.

My breath hitches in my throat. I grit my teeth.
He takes a step forward. I take one back cautiously.
