There was no other possible answer, so Janick simply let out a sigh filled with determination.
"I’ll do whatever it takes. I don’t mind being examined, interviewed, or… I’ll do whatever it takes," he declared, and Cameron placed a hand on his shoulder.
"And in three months, when you’re out of the hospital, we’ll find a place where we can live together," he told him. "No matter how you leave this place, you’re going back to school, you’re going to make a ton of friends, and—"
"And are you going back to school?" Janick suddenly asked, and Dandara noticed the way her bodyguard pressed his lips together—that expression she had already learned to recognize as fake.
"We’ll think about all of that later, calmly," Cameron replied. "Right now, you just need to focus on yourself and know that everything’s going to be okay. That’s enough."
Janick nodded slowly, but as soon as the lawyer asked Cameron for a minute to discuss the scheduling
