Avery looked up at Mike, then said, "Can't you just let me eat in peace? We didn't talk about any of that!"

"What did you talk about all afternoon then?" Mike said with a look of astonishment. "Why was he upstairs? Did he sleep in your room? Well?"

"Do I ever freak out when you bring Chad home to stay the night?"

"Chad's my boyfriend. Is Elliot Foster your boyfriend?" Mike asked. "How can your ex-husband possibly be compared to my boyfriend? Or are you planning on making things official with him?"
