"Alright, then."

Hayden did not mention this to Shelly, but Shelly had overheard his conversation with Mrs. Taylor.

"Where will this event take place?" Shelly walked over with Audrey in her arms. "Won't it be weird for me to participate in your company's event?"

Before Hayden could respond, Mrs. Taylor said, "What's weird about it? It's probably a trip. Since Hayden wants you there, you should go!"

Shelly blushed and wondered why her mother's attitude seemed to have taken a sharp turn.
