Avery glanced at her and said without enthusiasm, "Yeah, I'm leaving now."

"Elliot, sorry to show up unannounced." Zoe pointed at the cake on the table, "My friend bought this cake for me but I can't finish it on my own so I brought this over."

Zoe halted, "Someone did send me a parcel in the afternoon. I didn't know it was you who sent it, so I haven't opened it."
